🤿 Deep Dive: FFG Markt.Einstieg – Up to €120,000 for Your First Market Entry

You've developed an innovative product or service, but the leap from prototype to market costs serious money? That's exactly where the FFG comes in with Markt.Einstieg. The grant is the successor to the earlier Markt.Start programme and specifically supports SMEs with the costs of first-time market launch.

What Is Being Funded?

Markt.Einstieg funds marketing and sales measures directly related to the first-time commercialisation of your prototype. This includes, for example, market preparation, building sales structures, trade fair appearances or the transition to series production. The maximum project duration is 18 months.

How Much Is Available?

The grant is a non-repayable subsidy. There are two variants:

  • Markt.Einstieg Standard: 40% of eligible costs, maximum €80,000
  • Markt.Einstieg Gender & Social: 60% of eligible costs, maximum €120,000. This increased funding applies to women-led companies and projects for social innovation.

The maximum total project costs may not exceed €200,000.

Who Can Apply & By When?

All small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Austria can apply, regardless of legal form. Requirement: the company must be able to show a successfully completed project in experimental development or in process and organisational innovation.

Submissions are possible on a rolling basis until 31.12.2026.

Why Is This Relevant?

Many startups and SMEs fail not because of technology, but because of go-to-market. The costs of the first market entry are often underestimated: building sales, marketing campaigns, trade fairs, adapting to customer needs. Markt.Einstieg closes exactly this gap between R&D funding and market launch. And with the Gender & Social variant, women-led companies even get up to 50% more funding.
