Do you want to take your business international? Then you should know the go-international funding programs of the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO).
In this article, we present the 5 most important vouchers, including bonus options, eligibility requirements, and funding amounts.
1. Internationalization Voucher
📌 Purpose: Market entry outside or within Europe
💶 Funding:
- €10,000 for markets outside Europe
- €5,000 for markets within Europe
- +€2,500 Technology Bonus
- +€2,500 Sustainability Bonus
📋 Eligible costs:
- Marketing materials
- Consulting services
- Trade fairs & business travel
- Office rent in incubator centers
⚠️ Important:
- No business activity in target country within the last 2 years
- Max. 3 applications until 2026
2. Digital Marketing Voucher
📌 Purpose: Online marketing for new foreign markets
💶 Funding:
- 50% of costs, max. €7,500
- +€2,500 Technology Bonus
- +€2,500 Sustainability Bonus
📋 Eligible costs:
- Search engine advertising (SEA)
- Social media campaigns
- Landing pages & websites for foreign markets
- Content & performance marketing
⚠️ Important:
- Only for SMEs
- Max. €1,000 marketing spend in the target country so far
- Max. 3 applications until 2026
- One country per application
3. Training Voucher (Bildungsscheck)
📌 Purpose: Training of staff in foreign subsidiaries
💶 Funding:
- 50% of training costs, max. €7,500
- +€2,500 Technology Bonus
- +€2,500 Sustainability Bonus
📋 Eligible costs:
- External training
- Only from Austrian providers or partners
⚠️ Important:
- Only eligible with an existing foreign subsidiary
4. Project Business Voucher
📌 Purpose: Preparing for international tenders and project business
💶 Funding:
- 50% of costs, max. €7,500
- +€2,500 Technology Bonus
- +€2,500 Sustainability Bonus
- Ukraine special funding: up to €15,000 (with bonus €17,500)
📋 Eligible costs:
- Consulting
- Studies & feasibility analyses
- Training, events, travel
⚠️ Important:
- No prior go-international funding for the project in the past 3 years
- Ukraine projects receive extra support
5. Sourcing Voucher
📌 Purpose: Development of alternative procurement markets
💶 Funding:
- 50% of consulting costs, max. €7,500
- +€2,500 Technology Bonus
- +€2,500 Sustainability Bonus
📋 Eligible costs:
- External consulting for supply chain security
- Sourcing strategies and market analyses
⚠️ Important:
- Only for manufacturers based in Austria
- No sourcing in the target country within the last 2 years
Application & Deadlines
All five programs are submitted via the WKO’s central eServices portal. Until the end of 2026, you can apply for a maximum of 3 fundings per program.
